Creating an Aria in 50 minutes

My partner has a zoom class this evening that will last exactly 50 minutes. So I set myself a goal to sing, record, and publish an aria… and publish this blog post before 9:50 pm. It is 9:42 now. I am not worried if I do not quite meet my goal because it will be pretty darn close. I sang, I recorded it, and I just finished downloading the video from my phone.

Okay now uploading to the internet. need to write a description quick.

It is 9:46 and

Oh now it is 9:47. I got distracted, sorry.

And 9:48, published to the internet.

The class started at 9:00. So at around 9:06, I went outside and started singing… and didn’t love it after a minute.

Just restarted, and the published recording is that second take.

9:50 now.

hope you enjoy!

Oh it is 9:55 now and I am adding the photos. I also took these selfies before singing. Getting all dolled up puts me in a performing mood.

For this project, I will present the pictures unedited by me - but my phone seems to be adding filters for me these days…

Maybe our robot overlords just want us to see ourselves as beautiful.

The darkness makes them almost look like paintings.

Keep scrolling down to see my pretty face.

It’s pretty weird, y’all. But it has some pretty moments.

Especially in the second half.

But I didn’t feel comfortable enough to completely release myself into the music.

Not every note was intentional.

I know I can do far better.

I’ll keep trying.
