Unlikely paths forward

Regardless of their potential to get me “somewhere,”

my personal learning goals are often more important to me than my

career aspirations or potential sources of income.

Perhaps some of my ideas will be beneficial to Humanity

But in order for those ideas to flow,

I need to be in touch

with my own needs and

balance myself appropriately.

It is not a waste of time to create a song,

or write a short story,

cook a nice meal,

or entertain a silly idea.

I may appear to dance on the edge of sanity

when I entertain a child’s dream

or an unlikely path forward.

But if nobody dares

to explore new ideas,

then where will we go from here?

 And why?
