This social war won’t stop

until we all learn to focus on our

For what we see as misguided opinions.

But we can do that kindly,

With love.

Most of us do

Fundamentally

care about the same things.

We want

Our families and friends

To feel safe living in this country.

I want to feel safe

Living in this country.

I want my future children

And each of the hundreds of children

I have taught and cared for.

To feel safe.

Safe at home.

Safe at school.

Safe with their neighbors,

Regardless of race, income,

gender, style, favorite youtubers...

I want our children to feel safe asking for help when they need it.

I want all of us to feel safe asking for help

when we need it.
